Neurofeedback is a noninvasive EEG that records your brain waves and uploads the findings to a normative database. The database then compares your brain activity to that of an individual of like age and gender. From there, a qEEG profile report is generated providing a thorough explanation of the findings of your EEG and the rationales behind each finding. Your brain map report specifies emotional and cognitive issues by identifying the areas of the brain that are operating outside of the normal range or with limited connectivity. The patient is then started on a neurofeedback treatment plan that is customized to their results and personal concerns. Neurofeedback works by reconnecting functional pathways in the brain through audio and video stimulation, which only triggers when the brain is operating at an optimal level. The software is designed to target areas in the brain based on symptoms. Neurofeedback does not target any particular disorder; but rather, it changes timing and activation patterns in the brain.
